Brendan and Allie are new Wycliffe members and are serving in aviation roles at JAARs in Waxhaw, NC.

One of JAARS' themes is Making Bible Translation Possible. Technology is improving efficiency of Bible translation, however, terrain in remote areas can be a major barrier for the translation work. Aircraft are often the best mode of getting missionaries and supplies to these locations. The Palmers are helping to keep the work going by improving, upgrading, and maintaining the aircraft needed for reaching the unreached.

Brendan is using his mechanical engineering background to help tailor aircraft to improve operations for rigorous environments. Allie is using her avionics experience to improve and upgrade the critical electronic, radio, and safety systems of the aircraft.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.

Launch Expense Account

Wycliffe establishes the Launch Expense Account for setup needs beyond recurring ministry and living expenses.

Examples of what these funds cover are training and orientation courses, airfare, visas, immunizations, language learning, work permits, house setup, vehicle, equipment purchases, shipping, etc.
