Brian and Sarah facilitate bringing God's Word to unreached people by providing safe, reliable water transportation solutions and training to Bible translators and their families. As the incredible work to bring scripture to all communities in their own language continues, the remaining Bibleless communities tend to be those that are the hardest to reach, and it is estimated that water travel will be required for more than half of them.
Brian draws upon his decades of boating experience—including multiple ocean crossings—to serve with the Sea Operations department of JAARS, a Wycliffe primary partner. Sea Ops (for short) provide equipment and hands-on training in water rescue and survival, small boat handling and outboard engine maintenance. Brian also manages JAARS' emergency beacon program that provides hundreds of satellite-monitored locating devices to missionaries working in remote areas.
Sarah is trained in linguistics and cross-cultural communication and homeschools their two daughters, Anika and Alecia.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
