Ron and Michelle served for 13 years as Bible translators in a language of West Asia with around 3 million speakers. Good progress was made in translation and linguistic research. Now the project is doing well under the leadership of colleagues.

Michelle is involved in development, orientation, training and staff care for the EurAsia region. She makes good use of her coaching skills in each of these areas. Whether she is involved in seminars, workshops or just working with people one-on-one, she finds real satisfaction in helping leaders develop in their personal and professional lives. She serves on the Human Resources Staff Care and Well-Being Team and interacts closely with the Learning & Development Team.

Ron continues to lead the FLExTrans team. FLExTrans is a software program he developed for performing machine translation between languages. To date 11 language communities are receiving scripture drafts via FLExTrans and the uptake is expanding. Ron is also a Language Technology Consultant. He works with translation teams to help them make the most of the software available for linguistic research, Bible translation and scripture engagement.
