Gary & Ellie Sikma | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Gary & Ellie Sikma

Gary and Ellie are excited to be a part of Wycliffe to help the Bibleless and change lives through God’s word.

Gary’s assignment is with Global Partnerships in two roles, and Ellie’s role is with the Advancement Team. Both are working out of their home office.

As Eurasia Senior Field Coordinator, Gary oversees the Field Coordinators who help design and start Bible translation projects throughout the 84 countries of Eurasia and travels to meet with church leaders and others who can provide resources we can not offer on our own. Additionally, he is part of the team that approves translation and scripture engagement projects worldwide.

As a Strategic Innovation Consultant, Gary serves the Bible translation movement by understanding key challenges and opportunities in achieving goals. He develops relationships, engages in planning, serves as a catalyst for creating breakthrough strategies and plans, and creates ways to approach Bible translation cost-effectively and efficiently as better stewards of what God provides.

Ellie is a Senior Philanthropy Advisor. She reaches out to project donors who don’t typically get a personal call to thank them and pray with them. This role is a natural match for her heart and skills.

Please prayerfully consider joining their Wycliffe ministry team. They invite you to:

Give: By joining their Wycliffe team as a financial partner, you tangibly participate in Kingdom work with them.

Pray: None of their work is possible without prayer. So sign up to be a prayer warrior for this couple as they join God’s work through their Wycliffe ministry.

Advocate: They call some of you to share the vision of Bible translation with others and connect prayer and financial partners with them and other missionaries.

Go: God doesn’t call all to go, but your financial and prayerful support would allow them to obey God’s calling.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
