Having seen the impact of God’s Word in their own lives, Mark and Estella believe that every person should have access to the Scriptures in a language they understand. For over 35 years Mark and Estella have served in various administrative roles within Wycliffe, both in the U.S. and Papua New Guinea (PNG). From 1994-2004 they organized two-month Discovery teams of college students to various places around the world, and led Discovery teams to PNG. Then they served three years in a partnership with Wycliffe and their home church (Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship - Dr. Tony Evans) as Missions Coordinator, while also doing African American missions mobilization.

In 2009 the Trostles moved to Papua New Guinea fulltime to serve with the PNG Bible Translation Association (BTA), the local Papua New Guinean Wycliffe organization. They first served BTA in Church Engagement, encouraging churches in PNG to partner with BTA to help accomplish the enormous task of reaching the remaining people groups still without one verse of Scripture in their language. In 2014 they started a Staff Care program for their BTA co-workers, then in 2019 they served as Project Management mentors. After 10 years as BTA staff members they returned to the U.S. to take care of family needs. In 2020, Mark and Estella began serving with Global Partnerships, which serves Bible translation projects around the world. They currently work from Dallas as Field Coordinators for translation projects in both PNG and the Solomon Islands, and travel there a couple times each year to engage with those projects face-to-face and to encourage the on-the-ground partners.
