The Bayono OneStory Scripture Engagement Project is a super exciting opportunity to bring the Gospel to the Bayono tribe of Papua, Indonesia—one of the world’s last unreached peoples. In 2004 the Bayono people had no knowledge of Jesus or the gospel. Since that time, Papuan evangelist Beni Silak and missionary Matt Edelen along with their families have worked together in gospel ministry among this group. Now they have completed the translation of 23 chronological Bible stories into the Bayono language, sharing the gospel through oral storytelling and interactive discussions.

This project is committed to distributing the first ever Bayono language Bible storybooks and solar-powered audio players with all 23 stories to all 500 Bayono people. For many, this will be their first time hearing about Jesus in their own language and their first time understanding the gospel! Prayer and funding partners are needed for printing the Bible story books, purchasing the audio players, distribution, and local ministry worker support for team member Bace Silak. This is a historic time for the gospel among one of the last unreached tribes, Bayono. Be a part of getting the Good News into their hands for the first time!
