The Bwaidoka people are traditionally an oral society, so many are not able to read well and many can’t read at all. In order for the Bwaidoka to understand the Bible, it is very beneficial for them to have access to recorded Scripture. During 2023, the Bwaidoka New Testament and Genesis were recorded and the people are eagerly anticipating listening to God’s Word in their own language. There is a solar-powered hand-held device called a MegaVoice on which the New Testament recording will be loaded. The Bwaidoka Audio Scriptures project will provide funding to subsidize the purchasing of these MegaVoice devices ($38 each) and SD cards ($6 each).
