Nigeria, with over 500 languages and a population of over 180 million people, is home to many Bibleless language communities and so a fertile ground for Bible translation work. Wycliffe’s field partner SIL Nigeria has 80 workers from all over the world serving many of the 100+ ongoing language projects.
Richard is a national missionary who is committed to providing training for local translators in Nigeria and working with them to ensure that vernacular scriptures are well translated. Being Igbo, a people who have had God’s word in their language for over a hundred years, Richard understands the transforming power of God’s word in his own heart language. He is committed to helping extend this blessing to other peoples of Nigeria.
