Kimbung Director of Human Resources
“The salvation story of my grandmother came about after she watched the Jesus film in the Oku language. Despite the fact that I had talked to her about Christ numerous times, she did not feel any sense of connection or acceptance until she heard Jesus speaking in Oku. The work of Bible translation has impacted my life personally and I am thankful for the privilege to be involved in supporting this ministry in my country, Cameroon.” Heline writes.
Cameroon is one of the countries with many Bibleless peoples’ groups, with over 280 languages spoken by over 30 million people.
As the Human Resources Director for SIL (Wycliffe’s major partner for Bible translation) in Cameroon, Heline’s mission is three-fold; sourcing a highly motivated, dedicated and a cross-cultural workforce for Bible Translation, supporting teams while they serve through ongoing staff care and influencing organizational level strategic planning such that it remains people focused. Heline is married to Julious Ngum Kimbung and together with 5 children, they live and serve from Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Thank you for considering partnership in Bible translation through your financial and prayer support for Heline Kimbung’s ministry in Cameroon.
