Nugraha Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice
YAJASI is an Indonesian non-profit aviation organization and a long-time partner of Wycliffe Bible Translators. YAJASI was born in 1993 out of an SIL aviation program, which had been operating in Indonesia since the 1970s. YAJASI currently supports sixty different ministries across a range of organizations, many of which are Wycliffe Bible translation projects.
A major priority of YAJASI is national training. That is: evaluating, selecting, and training Indonesians to become pilots and aircraft mechanics. This reflects a value across the entire Wycliffe Bible translation movement, which is to empower the local church to carry on the tasks related to reaching the Bibleless with God’s love and God’s Word.
Enos was interested in aviation at a young age. However, because he felt called into ministry, he never pursued aviation. He was studying pastoral ministry when he first realized that such a thing as missionary aviation existed! So he began online classes with a school in the US to become a missionary pilot. He first came to YAJASI last year for a two-week internship as part of that curriculum, and ended up staying. As the staff at YAJASI got to know Enos, we began to see some special qualities in him that could make him a perfect fit for our organization.
Enos is now working with YAJASI as an Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice. In this position, he will grow in his understanding of aviation, as well as aircraft systems and maintenance principles.
Thank you for considering partnering financially with Enos. Your gift is an investment in Enos, and an investment in the work of YAJASI supporting Bible Translation in Indonesia.
