The Sahel is the geographic area immediately south of the Sahara desert. 225 languages in this area (representing 200 million people) have less than 2% believers among them. Creative approaches to Scripture Engagement in this zone calls for Arabic script (Ajami) workshops, audio recordings, digital smartphone apps, MicroSD card distribution, video production and publishing of materials. Once these believers have the scriptures, (132 of these groups have no scriptures at all) they want to be trained in how to use them.
