Something remarkable is happening in Tanzania!
For the first time, the Wanda-Sichela Cluster project is bringing Scripture to the Wanda and Sichela communities in a way that they can clearly understand.
The team is engaging communities, addressing community challenges, partnering with churches and preparing the way for future written Scripture.
Step by step, they’re making God’s Word clear and accessible so more people can encounter Jesus in a personal way.

When Words Fail
Do you ever feel like words are failing you when you pray?
That’s a perfect time to remember what Paul wrote in Romans 8:26-27: “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will” (NLT).
What a blessing it is that the Bible teaches us how to pray — and also encourages us when we feel uncertain of what to say.
Imagine where you’d be without the knowledge and power of prayer in your life. That’s reality for many who don’t yet have Scripture in their language. We want to help change that — because everyone deserves to know that God invites and instructs us on how to pray and come near to Him.
Scripture Dedication
Last year the Urim of Papua New Guinea dedicated their New Testament! The people celebrated the occasion with a four-hour service that included traditional dances, worship, a sermon, speeches and a special feast.
Some of the Urim translators and literacy supervisors carried in a box of New Testaments decorated with local flowers and greenery, symbolizing the fact that Scripture has now been brought to the people.
A few weeks after the dedication, Scripture use courses were held in two different villages to teach people how to use their New Testaments. During the weeklong event, over 370 people attended the courses each day!
Praise God that Urim people are now able to understand God’s love for them through Scripture in their language.
