One Day for the Akebu - 24 hr Cycling Challenge
Dan Moury and Doug Haag are avid cyclists who enjoy the sport even more when they ride for something bigger than themselves. Both work with Wycliffe and both have personally seen the impact of mother-tongue Scripture; transforming the lives of individuals and impacting entire language communities. They have experienced it themselves! The “One Day for the Akebu” campaign is an all-out effort to raise awareness, prayer and funding needs of the Akebu translation team on behalf of the Akebu people.
The campaign culminates at 10:00 a.m. the morning April 10th, when Dan and Doug leave Wycliffe Orlando’s parking lot on their bikes and head south. The goal is to reach Key West, Florida, by 10:00 the next morning—363 miles in one day.
